Defibrillator Implant Treatment in Nashik – Dr. Rahul Kaiche

A defibrillator implant treatment in nashik is a device which is implanted inside the body, which allows perform cardioversion, defibrillation and pacing of heart. The device is used to help life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias. It is the first and best treatment for patients at death high risk due ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia failure. These devices are programmed to detect abnormal heart rhythms and deliver therapy via programmable anti-tachycardia pacing in addition to low and high-energy shocks.

Cardiac pacemaker

“AICD” was trademarked, so as the more generic “ICD” is preferred terminology.

A single chamber ICD with its right ventricular lead connected to the header; note, starting from the end of the lead, the tip and adjacent first ring, used to sense the cardiac electrical activity and stimulate the right ventricle, the coil and the two rings for atrial sensing.

The Currently used device batteries last for a period of 6 – 10 years, and all the advancements may surpass the duration of 10 years. The lead (the electrical cable connecting the device to the heart) has a much longer average longevity but in some cases, it has been observed that it incurs numerous malfunctions, like insulation failure or conductor fracture, and may replacement may be required.

The implantation process of an ICD system is the same as that of a pacemaker. The ICDs device is composed of an ICD generator and a wire. The first generator consists of a computer chip or with RAM, it is implanted on the left upper chest. The second component of the device is an electrode wire similar to the pacemakers connected to the generator and passes to the right chambers of the heart through a vein. ICDs can have a single wire two one in the right atrium, one in the right ventricle, and one on the outer wall of the left ventricle just like the pacemaker. The only difference between pacemakers and ICDs is that the pacemakers are temporary units designed to correct slow heart rates, while ICDs are permanent solution against sudden life-threatening arrhythmia.
